Installing Business Suite
Setup using cPanel
- Login to the CloudOneX client portal and download the Business Suite.
- Login to cPanel, click the File Manager and navigate to the document root of your (sub)domain. If you didn't set it explicitly, this is the 'public_html' folder.
- Create a new folder, eg, admin and enter it.
- Upload the ZIP file you have downloaded in the first step and close the window once it's completely uploaded.
- Select the ZIP file and click the 'Extract' button. If you don't see the ZIP file, click the refresh button once.
- Once extracted, close the File Manager and click MySQL Databases in cPanel.
- Create a database.
- Create a new database user and be sure to write down the corresponding password.
- Add the user to the database, and tick the 'All privileges' mark.
- Head over to yourdomain.com/admin (where admin is the folder you've created earlier) and enter the details. The database host is most likely localhost.
Setup using a different hosting environment
- Login to the CloudOneX client portal and download the Business Suite.
- If you have FTP access, unzip the file locally and use your FTP client to upload the files to a subdirectory.
- Get your database ready, if you don't know the details, contact your hoster.
- Head over to yourdomain.com/admin (where admin is the folder you've created earlier) and enter the details. The database host is most likely localhost.
Setup using a VPS
- Login to the CloudOneX client portal and download the Business Suite.
- Transfer the downloaded ZIP over to your VPS, using
scporrsync(eg:scp filename.zip user@hostname.local:/home/user) - Create a new folder within the document root and move the file over (eg:
mkdir -p /var/www/html/admin && cp ~/filename.zip /var/www/html/admin). - Unzip the file and set the directory owner to the web-user (eg:
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/admin). - Create a new database and user with all the permissions on the database.
- Head over to yourdomain.com/admin (where admin is the folder you've created earlier) and enter the details. The database host is most likely localhost.
